What information do we collect about you?
We collect information about you when you subscribe online to us, when you become a part of the Woodburn community, when you make an inquiry on the website and/or when you register for an online or live event (with us or with an organizer of an event that Woodburn is sponsoring or speaking at). This includes basic contact details (including but not limited to name, company, email address, telephone) as well as potentially some questions about the nature of your business with China. This information can be accessed by our team in China and Hong Kong. Appropriate security measures are in place to ensure your data is secure.

Being a part of the Woodburn community
Being part of the Woodburn community includes being kept informed (via email) of China business news, updates on the China business environment, business opportunities, information about events and webinars, including some sponsored content. You may unsubscribe from this at any time by following the instructions in the email. Further correspondence may come from our business advisers about activities in a relevant sector or region, and from the marketing team concerning your interest, status and renewal on our e-marketing lists.

Participating in events and webinars

For registrants:
During an event registration, registrants are asked to actively give consent for relevant contact details needed to inform the registrant about the details for that event (reminders, agendas, changes etc.).  Further consent will be sought for any issues beyond the scope of that event. For any events co-organized by Woodburn and a 3rd party, during registration registrants will be informed as to which details will be shared with the 3rd party organization and asked to actively give consent for their details to be shared in this way. At some events there may be photography and/or filming. This is will be included in the consent terms when registering for the event. This material may be used on our website, event reports, articles and related marketing collateral.

For external suppliers:
In order to protect your information, all external suppliers will be required to complete a questionnaire to demonstrate how they comply with GDPR. Personal details will never be shared with a 3rd party without the express consent of a registrant.
